Cokesbury UMC youth are a group of teenagers who love each other and love Jesus. We spend time together learning about Him and having fun. Take a minute to check out our programs and events and drop us an email if you have any questions. We would love to see you at one of our programs THIS WEEK!
Senior Brunch
What: Brunch for seniors graduating from HIgh School.
When: 9 AM Sunday, May 25, 2008.
Where: Asbury Place, 9th Avenue campus.
If you are a graduating senior, please call the church office (476-9618) and let us know.
Sunday School
Sunday School happens every Sunday morning at 9:20 a.m. in the 9th Avenue Youth Building. Classes are divided by grade level and gender. Our awesome teachers and fun Bible discussions will keep you coming back!
UMYF
This is the big weekly gathering of Cokesbury youth. UMYF happens Sunday nights from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at our Summit Park campus. UMYF begins with the Dollar Diner, a snack supper that costs $1. After supper we play a couple of fun games, have a time of worship led by our youth band, Sweet Redemption, then listen to an inspiring Scripture lesson. After the lesson we break into small groups to discuss the lesson.
Monday Bible Study at Georgios
The youth meet from 6:00-7:30 pm on Mondays at Georgios Pizza for a time of fellowship and study of Scripture.
Hang Time
Hang Time is fun fellowship time on Wednesday nights at our 9th Avenue campus. We gather in the Youth Building from 6:00-7:30 p.m. following church supper.
On the 1st Wednesday of every month, there will be a time of worship on the beach. Youth will meet at the Youth Building at the 9th Avenue campus at 5:45 pm to depart to the beach.
Meltdown
Meltdown is an annual spiritual retreat for youth and is sponsored by the Pensacola District of the United Methodist Church. Youth from all over northwest Florida and south Alabama gather at the Boardwalk Beach Resort in Panama City for a weekend of inspiring Bible teaching and fantastic Christian rock concerts. Meltdown is open to grades 6-12.
